High Power Amplifiers - VHF and UHF

Go to top

Model SCA100 - VHF, UHF, or 900MHz

Frequency Range and Power Output:
VHF:

   136-174MHz:  150W nom. output for 30W in.  (Or 6-10W input.)
   275-285MHz:  100W nom. output for 30W in; or 10W in.

UHF:

   406-512MHz:  100W nom. output for 40W in; or 10W in.
   850-960MHz:  100W nom. output for 35W in

Features:

* Very Large oversize heatsink, with forced air cooling for cool
    operation and long transistor life.  Definitely NOT another
    low-duty cycle mobile amp bolted to a rack panel!
* Pure aluminum heatsink for high heat conductivity - NOT poor
    conductivity zinc castings as with some competitors.
* Absolutely 100% Duty Cycle!
* Rugged all aluminum construction with stainless steel hardware
* Near perfect RF Shielding and DC RF Filtering - eliminates
    "stray RF leakage".
* For 136-512MHz versions, Automatic "Amp Bypass/Protection Mode"
    is included.  If there should be a High Output VSWR, or High
    Temperature condition, or if the power supply should fail,
    then the built-in RF changeover relay will drop-out, and
    the amp will be bypassed.  (i.e. the exciter will be connected
    to the antenna so that you can stay on the air at low power.)
    These versions also include front panel LED Indicators for
    RF Output, High VSWR or High Temperature Shutdown;  and a
    VSWR Reset button.
* Behind the Panel heat sink arrangement permits use in a cabinet
    with a locking front door (for security from tampering) -
    without loss of cooling effectiveness!
* Available with or without on-board AC Power Supply - (switcher
    type).
* DC Operating Voltage:  13.8VDC nom.; except 24VDC nom. for
    900MHz unit. Reverse Voltage Protection on DC Input, which
    is fused.
* Specify:  120, 220VAC, or 12VDC cooling fan
